Volunteering is the best way to help Project WeHOPE and the homeless clients we serve. If you are interested in volunteering for any of Project WeHOPE’s opportunities, both on and off-site, please sign up at least 24-hours in advance.


Thank you for your consideration to volunteer here at Project WeHOPE Homeless Shelter. We live off the principle of Helping Other People Excel which is what the HOPE stands for in our name. We believe, “If we help people today it will give them hope for tomorrow!”

Where: 1858 Bay Road, East Palo Alto, CA
When: 7 days a week (Sunday-Saturday)

Volunteer times and opportunities
8:15 am to 12:00 pm- Laundry (sheets and blankets)
4:30 pm to 9:30 pm- Assisting clients with laundry
6:30 pm to 8:15 pm- Prep for dinner to be served and clean up after dinner

Assist with packing groceries for our Family Harvest Food Program sponsored by Second Harvest Food Bank.
Where: St. Samuel Church 1852 Bay Road, East Palo Alto, CA.
When: Every Tuesday at 10:30 am to 2:00 pm

Do you like to plan parties, host events or do fundraising drives? If you have an idea on how you can help us grow our reach and raise money or goods for our clients, then we’d like to hear from you! Hosting a fundraiser is fun for schools, church groups, employee bonding events, and community building. Contact our Associate Director, Alicia Garcia at agarcia@projectwehope.com or 650- 779-5049.


Do you have a special talent, skill that you can offer once or twice a month? Or do you want to volunteer your time to teach our clients a unique life skill? Project WeHOPE is looking for volunteers who can lend their talents in a multitude of ways, both with the clients or with our administrative staff.
